Kevin Gantt, PE

Kevin has over 31 years of experience in transportation engineering. He started his career with SCDOT as a construction inspector and progressed to county maintenance engineer. He continued to expand professionally by serving as a project manager, planner and District Engineering Administrator.  He has managed a large variety of construction projects including corridor widenings, interstate widenings, interchange upgrades, rehabilitations, resurfacing, pedestrian bridges, intersection improvements, a park and ride, pedestrian trails, bridge replacements and enhancement projects. 

Kevin has worked with planning agencies to identify qualified funding sources for projects and ensured proper allocation of federal funds. He also developed financial plans that included cash flow and secession of funding. As a planner for the South Carolina Department of Transportation, Mr. Gantt worked with the Federal Highway Administration to develop the agency’s first Transportation Asset Management Plan.

After retiring with 28 years of service with SCDOT, Kevin joined CarolinaTEA as a Partner in 2021 and has been with the firm for 3 years. He continues to serve as a project manager and assists with marketing and other administrative duties. Kevin also sits on the Board of Directors for ACEC- South Carolina.
